Dr. Michael Hynes, the outgoing Port Washington Schools superintendent, was arrested over the weekend for driving drunk and seriously injuring a motorcyclist in a crash in Sayville.
According to police, Hynes was attempted to turn left and crashed into a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was transported to the Hospital with serious injuries.
Hynes had announced earlier this month that he planned to resign from his position in December.
