A Suffolk County officer who was at the scene of a DWI crash was hurt Thursday morning when a second drunk driver struck his patrol car.
Authorities say the first crash happened on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington around 2:45 a.m. As the car was being removed by a tow truck around 4 a.m. another car hit the car of the officer at the scene. Both drivers are facing charges for driving while intoxicated.
