Lynbrook ma accused of headbutting police medic

A Lynbrook man is accused of headbutting a Nassau County police medic.
At about 11:35 p.m. on Monday officers responded to a Lynbrook residence and requested an ambulance to transport the man for medical treatment.
Detectives say the suspect became combative and headbutted the police medic when the ambulance arrived.
The medic suffered a bruise to his head and experienced dizziness. He was treated and released.
The suspect has been charged with assault.
