Nassau Police say a patient at Nassau University Medical Center was arrested and charged after using a wheelchair footrest as a weapon and injuring a staff member.
The suspect was being treated at the hospital when he became violent with hospital staff and swung the footrest at a nurse injuring his right hand. He was charged with three counts of assault in the second degree.
