Former CNN political analyst John Avlon, launched a bid Wednesday for the Democrat nomination to run against Republican Rep. Nick LaLota in New York’s 1st Congressional District.
Avlon, who maintains residences in Manhattan and Sag Harbor, said he recently left CNN so he could run for office.
