Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman claims Hofstra University and one of Las Vegas Sands’ competitors were working in coordination to block the Sands’ ability to get an application to build a casino at the Nassau coliseum site.
Hofstra University sued last April, claiming the county’s planning commission violated state law because it did not properly notify the public about a meeting to consider a lease.
The first public hearing about the proposed resort and casino at The Hub is set to take place Thursday in Uniondale.
