Ed Romaine was sworn in as the new Suffolk County executive on New Year’s Day.
Romaine was sworn into office at Eastport South Manor Junior/High School Monday afternoon.
No announcement has been made yet on who Romaine will pick to be Suffolk counties new police commissioner, He says his transition team has been interviewing candidates and has some promising individuals they’re considering for the job.
Romaine replaces Steve Bellone, a Democrat who has served as Suffolk County executive for the past 12 years.
