Police say a man on a boat went overboard in the Great South Bay Monday afternoon around 3 p.m. The incident happened off West Islip.
The man was pulled from the water by a good Samaritan and was taken to the hospital with hypothermia.
The boat eventually crashed after the man fell into the water.
