Authorities are investigating a string of robberies at 7-Eleven stores and gas stations across Long Island over the weekend.
Suffolk police say a man took out a gun and demanded cash at a Bolla Market and gas station in Lake Ronkonkoma about 1:30 Sunday morning. They say the cashier handed over the money and the robber drove off.
Police Nassau County then responded to a robbery at 7-Eleven in Amityville just before 2:30 a.m. and robbery at the Bolla Market in Massapequa shortly after that.
No one was hurt; police say they are investigating the possibility that the robberies are connected.
