State police say male human remains were found at Sunken Meadow State Park Monday afternoon.
New York State Police were called to the park in Smithtown around 1 p.m.
Further information on the remains is pending examination by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s office.
State police are asking any witnesses or anyone with information to call 631-756-3300.
