Emailed bomb threat to Temple Beth Am deemed not credible

Nassau police responded to Temple Beth Am of Merrick and Bellmore early Sunday morning following an emailed bomb threat.

Officials using bomb-sniffing dogs and special machinery checked the building said The threat has been deemed not credible at this time. The police keep extra cars in the area throughout the day out of an abundance of caution.

The threat came amid Rosh Hashanah, which began at sunset on Friday and ended at sunset Sunday night.
