One person was killed and four others, including a 12 year old boy, were wounded following a shooting at an illegal party at a rental hall in Valley Stream..
According to police, a male fired eight times, striking multiple people outside the establishment.
Police say the suspect fled westbound into Queens after the shooting.
Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder says the party was advertised on social media and organizers were illegally charging admission and serving alcohol without a license.
Police are asking anyone at the party to come forward with information.
