Congressman George Santos is being criticized for comparing himself to civil rights Icon Rosa Parks on a Podcast. Santos said “Rosa Parks didn’t sit in the back, and neither am I gonna sit in the back,”
Rhea McCauley the niece of Rosa Parks felt it was totally inappropriate for Santos to compare himself to her aunt. Political opponents of Santos called the remarks shameful and embarrassing.
