Detectives seize 113 cases of fireworks from Massapequa home

Michael Masone of Massapequa man was arrested Saturday after detectives say they found over 100 cases of fireworks and hundreds of mortars in a canal behind his home.
The fireworks seized were worth more than $15,000, according to court documents.
Masone does not have a New York state pyrotechnic license to possess or transport fireworks.
Neighbors say Masone is known in the community for hosting large Fourth of July celebrations for neighbors.
