In the 90s Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan were a dynamic rom com duo. They stared in Sleepless in Seattle in 1993 and You’ve Got Mail in 1998. The two almost starred in another one together too! Tom Hanks was approached to star opposite Meg in When Harry Met Sally but he turned it down. At the time he was going through a divorce and was happy to not the married and couldn’t understand the intentions in the film of the character. He loved the script but passed on it and the role went to Billy Crystal.
