The Coast Guard has suspended the search for the missing boater in the Great South Bay off of Babylon last night.
The Coast Guard searched for 34 hours and covered approximately 1,000 nautical miles, but there was no sign of the boater.
A statement from the Coast Guard said in part, “Weather and marine conditions were ideal yesterday and today, allowing the search to continue as long as it did.”
