A powerful late-week storm is expected to hit the New York area with whipping rains and rough winds with gusts up to 60 mph. The storm is expected to hit the tri-state area Thursday afternoon and Friday; heavy rain is expected in and around NYC, while others may see some snow.
The storm could make Holiday travel difficult . Airlines are preparing for the potential weather-related havoc.
Drivers and pedestrians alike are advised to take extra caution, with roads and sidewalks likely to be as slippery and Icey over the course of the holiday weekend with tempters dropping below freezing.
