Teen Throws Himself in Front of SUV to Save Sister in Deadly Long Island Hit-And-Run

13-year-old Tyler Phillips is on life support after a hit-and-run crash that also injured his sister in Coram on Wednesday night .
Police say Tyler and his sister Krystal were struck by an unknown vehicle, The vehicle fled the scene.
Tyler pushed his sister out of the way and endured the brunt of the crash. He and his sister were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. His sister, had minor injuries to her arm, but Tyler has brain damage and is not expected to survive
