Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone announced yesterday that 15 Long Island organizations will be receiving extra funding for revitalization projects.
In total, $500,000 is being awarded to fund the Suffolk County Downtown Revitalization Grants Program.
The projects being funded had to be located in or adjacent to downtown areas.
Recipients were hand-picked by an advisory panel and a competitive application process.
