Nassau police say a 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with first degree robbery after attempting to steal cash from a Hicksville restaurant Sunday before an employee stopped him.
Just before 3 a.m. Sunday morning, the suspect walked into Crown Chicken and Grill and handed an employee a note demanding money and said he had a gun.
After initially complying and handing over the money, the employee grabbed The suspect before he could leave the restaurant and held him until police arrived.
Police said the suspect was not armed and was placed into police custody without further incident.
