Long Island Cares sees increase in number of people in need of food

Long Island Cares says it has seen a 90% increase in the number of people in need of food in the last year.

Officials say many people are relying on their pantries to stay afloat and many of thosein need are employed and still can’t find a way to make ends meet do to inflation.

The food bank says those who want to help can do so by donating food or sharing their posts on social media.
