State breaks ground on East End affordable housing

East Hampton, NY- The words affordable and East Hampton, don’t usually go together but that’s all about to change.  On Wednesday, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul announced that construction had begun on an affordable housing development on Three Mile Harbor. According to a press release from the state, the East Hampton development will offer 50 apartments across five two-story residential buildings. Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone said ” … the development helps ensure a future in Suffolk County where residents can afford to stay”.
