Terryville, NY- A Terryville woman was killed in a house fire on Sunday night. Suffolk County Police say they responded to 58 Superior Street at 7pm after a 911 caller reported a fire at the location. Officials say one resident, identified as 76-year-old John Davis, was able to escape the fire. John’s wife, Catherine Davis, 83, died in the fire. John was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition. Police say the investigation believes the cause of the fire to be non-criminal.
