Riverhead, NY- A man was pulled into an alley and robbed a gunpoint Thursday night on West Main Street in Riverhead. Police say the victim, a 32-year-old Riverhead man, was walking westbound near 134 W. Main St, at approximately 8:08pm, when he was pulled into an alley by an unknown man who tried to steal his scooter. Police say the victim told the scooter was broken and the man pulled out a gun and demanded everything from the victim’s pockets. Officials say the victim gave the man $400 dollars in cash and a debit card and the thief took off, in the direction of Grangebel Park.
The suspect has been described as a Black man, average build, 6 feet tall, he was seen wearing black colored clothing, a black beanie, white sneakers and a black colored surgical mask.
