Lake Grove, NY- Wegmans Food Market, a popular supermarket chain, has announced plans to open a store on Long Island. In an announcement made yesterday, the store announced it’s first Long Island location will be in Lake Grove on the corner of Middle Country Rd and Moriches Rd. Wegmans now operates 106 stores in seven states and has more than 50,000 employees chainwide. The company has announced plans for additional stores in Virginia, Delaware, and Manhattan, NY, all scheduled to open over the next two years.
A timeline for the construction and opening of the 100,000 square foot store in Lake Grove, has not been determined at this time.
