CYBERSPACE (AP) — What was supposed to be Opening Day is now closed. Major League Baseball says the first games of the season are postponed after the players refused to accept what owners call their best, final offer. The teams locked out the players, keeping them from using club facilities to prep for the new season. They also set the deadline for players to sign a new labor deal or forfeit Opening Day. In a post on their site, the Major League Baseball Players Association says players and fans “are disgusted, but sadly not surprised” that the season won’t start on time
