Long Island digs out after deadly nor’easter

(East Farmingdale, NY)- Long Island is digging out from a deadly and powerful weekend nor’easter dropped just over 2 feet of snow in parts of the Island.  Officials say at least three Long Islandersm including two men in Nassau and another man on the East End, died while clearing snow.  At a press conference on Sunday, Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, urged residents on to help dig out elderly neighbors.  The National Weather Service says the town of Islip in Suffolk County, got the most snow with 24.7 inches and in Nassau County the town of Levittown topped the list of towns with 19.2 inches of snow.
