NWS: Winter Weather Advisory for Long Island

East Farmingdale, NY- The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Long Island in effect through 1pm on Thursday. Forecasters predict areas in Nassau and Suffolk Counties could see one to three inches of snow which might make for dangerous travel conditions. Afternoon temperatures are expected to drop below freezing and create hazardous traveling conditions for the Thursday evening commute. The WALK 97.5 New York Cancer and Blood Specialist Storm Center will update with any closing and delay information as it becomes available.
