(AP) — The U.S. is urging that everyone 12 and older get a COVID-19 booster as soon as they are eligible to do so, the latest effort to beat back the very contagious omicron mutant ripping through the country. Boosters have already been urged for those 16 and older. The announcement yesterday endorses an extra Pfizer shot for teens 12-to-15. That means another 5 million younger teens can now get a booster.
