NEW YORK (AP) — The New York State attorney general’s office confirms it has subpoenaed ex-President Donald Trump and his two eldest children, Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. The subpoena demands they testify in an investigation into the family’s business. Attorney General Letitia James’ office says in a court filing that it had issued subpoenas seeking testimony and documents from the Trumps as part of a years-long civil probe. Among the matters the AG is focusing on is “the valuation of properties owned or controlled” by Trump and his company. In response, lawyers for the Trumps filed court papers to block the subpoenas. The filing, made yesterday, is the first time investigators publicly said they’re seeking information from Ivanka and Don Trump Jr. Both are trusted allies of their father and were executives in his family’s organization.
