Pfizer says 2 doses of its COVID-19 vaccine might not be enough against new variant

East Farmingdale, NY- Drug maker Pfizer released information early Wednesday morning about the effectiveness of its COVID-19 vaccine, against the Omicron variant. Pfizer said preliminary studies showed that two doses alone “might not provide a sufficient immune response against the variant” but that studies showed that a booster shot, “helps neutralize the variant”.

The CDC approved booster shots of COVID-19 vaccines for everyone in the United States ages 18 and older.
