Patchogue, NY- Police in Suffolk County are asking anyone who may have witnessed a crash on Route 112 in Patchogue last night, to give them a call. Officials say 21 year old woman was crossing Rt 112/Medford Avenue with her 2-year-old daughter in a stroller, when they were struck by a northbound 2005 Ford pick up truck. The accident happened in front of 192 Route 112 in Patchogue at approximately 6:18pm on Monday, October 25, 2021. Police say both victims were transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue. The child, Nataly Brito Maurad was pronounced dead at the hospital. Nataly’s mother, Vilma Gracelia Maurad Centeno was listed in serious condition. The driver of the pick up truck, James Maupin Jr of Holtsville, was not injured.
