Long Island prepares for 1st Nor’easter of the season

East Farmingdale, NY- The first Nor’easter of the 2021-2022 season, is on its way. A coastal storm is developing off the east coast which forecasters say, will develop into a Nor’easter and impact Long Island Monday night through Wednesday morning. Difficult travel conditions are expected. Winds could gust up to 45 miles per hour. Power outages are possible. Rain could fall at rates of up to 1 inch per hour with a total of 3-5 inches of rain expected with the storm. A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for our area through Tuesday afternoon.
