Selden, NY- A Long Island man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly pointing a handgun in the direction of another vehicle stopped at a traffic light Suffolk County Police say a man driving a pick up truck, was stopped a red light on the westbound side of Middle Country Rd in Selden at Blue Point Road when another vehicle, a 2017 Chrysler 300 pulled up alongside him and pointed a handgun in his direction. The pick up truck driver ran the red traffic light, found a marked Suffolk County Police vehicle and reported the incident to the officer. Police searched and then found the 2017 Chrysler 300 a short while later. Officials say the driver, Omar Anderson, was in possession of a handgun and was placed under arrest.
Anderson was arrested on charges including Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Menacing.
