Islandia, NY- Suffolk Police say on Wednesday morning, a man robbed the Chase Bank on Veterans Memorial Highway in Islandia. According to detectives, a man entered the bank just before 11am and “handed a teller a note demanding cash and threatening the use of a gun”. Police say the teller complied, giving the man an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer. The suspect fled on foot and has been described as Black, about 6 feet tall, heavyset and wearing a dark blue sweatshirt.
