Today is a very big day not to mention a magical one. On this day in 1971 Walt Disney World opened. Of course it has really grown over the past few years! When Walt Disney World opened on October 1, 1971 Magic Kingdom was the only park and there were only a handful of resorts. Now the Most Magical Place on Earth has 4 theme parks and over 20 resorts… not to mention 2 water parks and Disney Springs.
