9th annual Car Free Day on Long Island

East Farmingdale, NY- Officials in Nassau and Suffolk Counties are encouraging Long Islanders to ditch their cars for the day and take mass transit or other forms of transportation for the 9th annual Car Free Day. In Suffolk, County Executive Steve Bellone is touting the Suffolk Transit On-Demand service for rides around Southampton and Sag Harbor. In Nassau, County Executive Laura Curran, is reminding Long Islanders about Nassau’s infrastructure plans which include bikes, scooters, ride sharing services as well as NICE buses and the Long Is;and Rail Road.
