FEMA Adds Suffolk County for Federal Assistance

FEMA Adds Suffolk County for Federal Assistance

On Sept. 12 at the request of Gov. Kathy Hochul, President Biden has approved
an amendment to the Major Disaster Declaration for the Remnants of Hurricane Ida.

Homeowners, renters, and business owners in Suffolk County are now eligible to apply for federal
help in response to damage or loss suffered as a direct result of the Remnants of Hurricane Ida.

To apply for FEMA help, visit DisasterAssistance.gov, use the FEMA mobile app or call
800.621.3362. Operators are on duty seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

Multilingual operators are available. If you use a relay service such as a videophone, InnoCaption, or
CapTel, give FEMA the number for that service.

Those who have already registered with FEMA for assistance need not register again.
