The World Health Organization is calling on countries with large supplies of coronavirus vaccines to refrain from offering booster shots through the end of the year, so vaccinations can be used in countries facing shortages.
Despite the call for a moratorium the United States and other countries have begun or are considering plans to offer the boosters to their vulnerable people.
