East Farmingdale, NY- Over a million people are without power in Louisiana after Hurricane Ida, a powerful category 4 storm, slammed into the gulf state on Sunday. Ida tore the roof off a hospital, toppled trees, snapped power-lines and pushed storm surge inland. Now downgraded to a Tropical Storm Ida, continues her path to the north and east. Ida is expected to reach Long Island as a Tropical Depression by mid-week.
