Woman arrested after fatal pedestrian crash

Copiague, NY- A Copiague woman was arrested Tuesday night on charges including DWI after a crash that police say, killed a pedestrian.

Officials say the pedestrian, Travis Kernard, 28 of 205 Hawkins Blvd, Copiague, was standing in front of his house in between two parked cars, when a vehicle heading southbound slammed into the two vehicles and pinned him.

Police say Annamarie Donadeo, 50, of 245 West Drive, Copiague, was behind the wheel of a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer at the time of the accident. Upon arrival to the scene police officers say they observed Donadeo to be intoxicated and placed her under arrest. Kernard was transported to a nearby hospital was he was pronounced dead.
