Wyandanch, NY- Suffolk County Police are investigating the shooting death of a man in Wyandanch on Wednesday morning. Officials say they responded to a 911 call that someone had been shot in the rear lot of 1527 Straight Path at approximately 11:38am. Upon arrival police found Derrick Dixon, 32, of Wyandanch, had been shot multiple times. Dixon, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
