Medford, NY- The westbound travel lanes of the Long Island Expressway were closed in Meford for hours, after a serious late night crash. Suffolk County Police say on Wednesday night at approximately 11:38pm a man was driving a Kia westbound near exit 65 in Medford, when he rear ended a Toyota driven by a woman. The man suffered serious injuries and was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital. The woman was transported to Long Island Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
