East Farmingdale, NY- Health Officials in New York announced on Monday that the drive through COVID-19 mass vaccination site at Jones Beach will close on Monday July 19th. The closure comes as vaccinations are more readily available at pharmacies and doctors offices and as the demand for vaccines at the site have dwindled. The state says they’ll “reallocate resources to localized vaccination efforts in areas that have lower than average vaccination rates”.
