East Farmingdale, NY- Today Long Island prepares for the arrival of Tropical Storm Elsa. The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Warning for Long Island, wind and rain will start to arrive Thursday afternoon into the evening. The effects of the storm will intensify over Thursday evening. On Friday, after midnight through Friday afternoon forecasters anticipate the worst of the storm to impact Long Island. As of now, Elsa is on a path to cross over Long Island on Friday. We could see flooding rain, hazardous wind- with gusts over 60mph. Expect downed trees, scattered power outages also the possibility of tornadoes.
