East Farmingdale, NY- New York State is closing some COVID-19 mass vaccination locations. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, announced on Wednesday the state would be shutting down the vaccination sites at the Javits Center in Manhattan and at Suffolk County Community College Campus in Brentwood in an effort to shift resources to communities with low vaccination rates. As of now, the mass vaccination sites at SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Stony Brook in Southampton, SUNY Old Westbury and at Jones Beach Field 3 will remain open. The facilities at SCCC Brentwood and at the Javits Center will close after the last shots are given out on Friday.
