East Farmingdale, NY- A missing Long Island boy was found sleeping in a car at a rest stop in Virginia with a man, detectives say, he met online. The boy, who has Autism, was reported missing by family on June 29th. According to a press release, police say detectives determined the child had been talking with a 20-year-old man from Tennessee through an instant messaging app and had “possibly been taken out of state by the individual”. Officials say they were able to track the pair to a rest stop in Montgomery, Virginia at 1am on Wednesday morning. The 20-year-old, was taken into custody and will face kidnapping charges when transferred to Suffolk County. Police say the child, will be returned to the custody of his family.
