Port Jefferson, NY- A girl was rescued on Tuesday in Port Jefferson, after accidentally locking herself inside a former bank vault. Officials responded to Kate and Hale, located at 227 Main Street at approximately 1pm, after a 14-year-old girl became trapped inside the dressing room. Police say they were able to free the girl from the dressing room and she was not injured. 227 Main Street in Port Jefferson, had at one time been a bank- before eventually becoming the clothing store Kate and Hale, which repurposed the old vault into a dressing room.
