The Nassau County SPCA is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest after a cat was left paralyzed by two gunshots in Glen Cove.

The cat, named Gracie, was found crying and paralyzed outside her home on Tuesday.

Veterinarians say the cat had been shot twice, with a bullet hitting her spine and abdomen.

Her owners are holding out hope that Gracie will survive operations and will be able to walk again.

Police say the shooting likely happened around 7 p.m. Tuesday. Anyone with information is asked to call Glen Cove police at 516-676-1002.
