PD: Manorville man tried to solicit a sex act from a teenage girl in Babylon

Babylon, NY-  Suffolk County Police say a Manorville man tried to solicit a sex act from a teen girl in Babylon earlier this month.  Officials say on May 13th, Andrew Quattrone allegedly approached a 15-year-old girl in a parking lot behind 24 East Main Street and handed the girl a cell phone with a sexually explicit message for her to read and requested she perform a sex act.  The girls friend approached the vehicle and Quattrone left the scene.  Quattrone, 38, of 10 Claire Court, was taken into police custody on May 26th on charges of Criminal Solicitation 3rd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on May 27th.  Police are asking any other possible victims to call Suffolk County Police Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
